Mark your calendars for the ASBEE Sisterhood’s annual Chanukah Dinner.  This year’s chairpeople are Shirley Simha and Sara Kaplan.  If you can help with the cooking for the day of the event please let Shirley or Sara know.

Don’t forget to make your reservations (details to come later) and be ready for a festive meal along with seeing our children in the Chanukah play (with a little help from ROBBO!).

We are having a party!!! On Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 the ASBEE Sisterhood will be sponsoring the monthly birthday party at the Memphis Jewish Home.   We will arrive at the Home at 1:00 pm to set up and the party will run from 1:30 til 2:30.  The home does all the work–we just supply gifts and fun!  What a nice way to spend an afternoon–the residents of the home will feel good and so will we!

Interested in joining the fun?  Please call Julie Levy at 340-3182 if you would like to come and help put a smile on some senior faces!

Fall into Sisterhood with a dairy dessert and find out what’s happening!  Just a fun get-together and a chance to say welcome!  Not a member of our Sisterhood?  Please come and join.  We’d love to have you, and we definitely need you!  7:00 p.m. at the Synagogue on Thursday, November 19, 2009.

What a great meeting–we had a great turnout and good participation–thanks to everyone for such an enthusiastic meeting!  Committees were formed, volunteers were gotten and the food was great (thanks Suzanne Back!)!  Plans are in the works to begin recycling in the Shul kitchens, the Mikvah will be getting a lot of attentio, and we look forward to our upcoming events (Hamentashen baking, the MJH Birthday Party, Shaloch Manot Baskets and our Purim Carnival!  e’ll also be adding another meeting–time and date to come out soon!  A very special thank you to Cindi Weinstein for taking minutes (which you can read below!) and congratulations to Diana Lazar on winning the door prize!!!
